The universe works in magical ways. I have been stressing over a photoshoot that was supposed to happen on the 19th of April. We had locked in our models and were almost ready. The shoot did not happen on the 19th. It got pushed to 20th, then 25th, and now the 4th OR 6th of May. So many delays & a narrow window for edit before product launch - I was totally stressed out last night. And my mom told me, "Mo no need to stress over it. Things are out of your hand and everything will sort itself out" I took a deep breath and felt a bit of control & anxiety ease but I woke up feeling so far behind. Your essay today helped me ground the thought again, "Things fall into place when the time is right!". Thank you!

Great article! The reminder to trust our instincts and know when to pause is crucial. In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, it's important to listen to our inner voice and take breaks when needed.

Thank you for your lovely input Mo!

I think so many of us forget to value what truly matters and instead run after things that only bring us joy in the short run. Pausing and appreciating the journey we are on is so important ✨

Lovely article Mansi :)

It's certainly ok to aim high for yourself but you also have to know when to adjust your speed in getting there.

Knowing when to hit pause is what jumps out to me here. I’m getting better at it but it takes practice and I don’t always get it right. It’s often the first piece of advice I will shell out to friends I see burning the candle at both ends and as I hear myself speak the words it acts as a reminder to self.

I love this Gemma! It’s certainly not easy to slow down in the middle of chaos and I struggle with it too most times. But it’s so crucial. I have recently started noticing the value of guilt free rest, it’s so needed and so worth it!✨

Agreed that guilt free rest needs to make a resurgence. We can’t / shouldn’t be in ‘doing’ mode at all times.

Great read, Mansi.

At the end of the day, we’re all human and will fall short of the standards we’ve set for ourselves from time to time.

Well said Harun!

And it's absolutely true, we need to understand that we are not alone, and no time is "too late" for us to achieve any goals, we are all on our unique journeys✨

Thank you for this uplifting message, Mika. This is what I needed after a stressful weekend of working on my first sales page, creating content for LinkedIn and looking after family stuff. "You are doing okay right where you are in life" will be my mantra for today :)

"I also end up finding myself comparing my progress with others on multiple occasions. It’s usually the people who are where I want to be or the ones a couple of steps ahead of me in the journey to achieve the same goals."

This resonate with me. I have a chronic illness and I can't do everything I want to do. I often retrace my steps to do things all over again, in a simpler way, because I get confused and can't move forward anymore. I start to compare myself to other people, and the more I compare myself to them, the worse I feel. But then I think about all the progress I've made in the last 3 years, all the drawings I've made and the things I've learned. It takes me longer than other people, but I still keep moving. Progress should be measured in years, not in days, or weeks, or months.

Absolutely on point - "There is no greater sign for you to slow down and breathe than your instincts telling you to pause."

It’s so freeing when we realise that other wellbeing writers haven’t figured it out either, right? Actually, which humans have it truly figured out? No one! And we don’t even need to try, because we’re all on this journey called life together! So glad to share the same passion, Mansi! 💖
