Life has been nothing short of chaos in the second half of this year. At 24, I could finally see what it is like to be an adult. Things keep piling up one after the other as the world expects you to skate through them in your best shoes. But most times, you don’t even have the energy to get out of bed and do something productive, let alone multitask. “Since when did I get busy enough not to have time to see my friends coming back to our hometown for the holidays?” I wonder. Then I realise that it’s not just me who is growing up but everyone else around me. My friends. My parents. What a crazy thing to be experiencing life together but mostly alone in different parts of the world.
What truly matters in life?
I often wonder about these words. If I keep societal expectations aside and think about it, then the list would include:
A handful of friends who show up for you in good as well as bad times.
A job that fulfils you. If not that, something outside of that job that fulfils you.
Financial literacy: Because money solves many problems in life. But you don’t have to obsess over it. There are many resources out there that teach you how to make money with your money. (spoiler alert: consistency and patience are the key)
Being kind to the ones you interact with, especially your parents. No matter how much patience you lack sometimes, remember that they are also experiencing life for the first time as you are.
Sleeping peacefully every night, knowing you did your best, no matter the outcome.
This week, I decided to share a collection of all the Notes I have shared in the last few months about things that truly matter in life. These words have resonated with the readers here on Substack. I hope these Notes can serve as a source of comfort for you in times of chaos, as much as they have for me, so feel free to take what you need..

Yep, 365 days ago I wondered if I had the strength to do another 365 days. Yet, here I am with a few achievements on my sleeve! We have got to trust the process even when it looks hopeless.
Wonderful compilation, Mansi, really liked that point that others are growing up too. Sometimes we think that it's just us that are changing, but it's much more; others are experiencing change in their own way. We should be understanding, especially when they don't appear to be there for us as we would want. Life is becoming new for them too.
