Wonderful post again! Your pasts forms you the way you are, and some things are good to let go off, but indeed a lot also helps you here and now and in the future. Even bad things :-)
First, thank you for the mention and sharing that post, itself an illustration of how we can hold on to the past in a good/meaningful way.
I don't think we ever really let go of the past, and, like you, I don't think we need to. To do so would be like disregarding history. It is not possible; it's also not wise. When we'll be old, the past will practically be what there will be, thus to ignore it would be to have no life.
I like my past - both the good and bad stuff. I let it guide and fuel me. I however never let it oppress me by making impositions. Let's hold onto the past, even the tallest of trees have roots.
Nice post, Mansi; reminds that life is a continuum, and as we continue to live, the past will always be an increasing part of it.
Thank you for your insights Patrick. I just love reading everything you write. It's so full of wisdom that I believe this world needs at the moment and will always do.
"Even the tallest of trees have roots." I have noted this line in my journal to always look back on as a reminder that my past experiences shaped me into who I am today, and I am so grateful to be this person.✨
It’s my ‘zen’ space. I head to this corner right after I wake up to read my book. I think peace surrounds us at all times, we just have to look past the chaos💛
As someone who only recently started my newsletter, I resonate with the last point on your list. The past can be a good reminder of what we are capable of but does not need to define our identity today.
It just boils down to perspective. Thank you Mansi
Thank you for being here Ebere!💛

True words Hannah!
So glad you enjoyed reading it✨
‘….while the past has power to pull you down if you let it, it also has the power to push you up if you let it.’
Yeah, it comes down to our mindset and perception of our past incidents.
Absolutely true Raveen! It's all about the perspective and the way we choose to categorise our experiences. It is an absolute game changer.
