What a wonderful, though provoking post. Slowing down is always something I say I'm going to do and then other things creep in around the edges. Thanks for the reminder to keep at it and keep focused on oit.
Thank you so much for supporting my work Louise! I am so grateful that I met you on this platform. I appreciate your work so much as well.
And yes, slowing down is probably the hardest thing one has to do. No matter how intentional we try to be, it is difficult to stay consistent. I am happy that my words could nudge you towards slowing down. Sending so much positivity your way ✨💕
"Sometimes, letting go of the pressure to make things perfect and simply live in the moment is the smartest thing to do."
Being in the present is a reminder that your life is more important than a swirling swell of thoughts of what we would have been and what would be. For once we let the mind relax a lit bit from constant spin of thoughts.
Aw, this was so lovely to read and the photo of you and your friend brought a BIG smile to my face 😊 You look so relaxed, happy and totally present! I love it 🥰
Thanks for featuring my piece in your newsletter! I’m glad you had an enjoyable think week. I think we all could benefit from one of these every now and again.
It felt soo good. I always feel like I need to do this more often when I am back from such retreats but somehow it never ends up happening. But regardless, it felt so wholesome to slow down and enjoy the present moment.✨
As your unofficial Substack Aunty, this makes me so so happy!
I love that you prioritised time for yourself!
Imagine having this time off after the pressures of exams etc.
I really love this, “Sometimes, letting go of the pressure to make things perfect and simply live in the moment is the smartest thing to do.” 👌
My daughter is almost finished law school and she has started interviewing for jobs. I told her that she should take some time off after her exams and before she starts work. Perhaps she should have a “think week”☺️.
It felt so good to take last week off and only focus on living in the moment. I agree, your daughter should take a think week as well. Maybe you can put forth this suggestion in front of her? It's specially important before starting a job because life certainly does get chaotic once we start working full-time.
Mansi, the photo of those flower buckets made me smile so much! I feel like that's something not many people would've taken the time to notice. I would have, just like you did.
I love that you were able to catch a break and go unplug for a while. You and I were on retreats the same weekend! 😊 It does wonders for the soul, doesn't it?

I absolutely agree Edwin. Those are such wise words. Thank you for sharing✨
Great article. Thanks for reminding me of the small things and being present more often.

Loved reading your post Harun!✨
I agree, think weeks are so important. It's a part of living intentionally. I wonder why this concept is not promoted much these days.
I can see you had spent the week warm and well. 😀 It’s good to have such getaways from time to time. Right?

Yeah I can relate to that. Somehow the plan gets pushed far. But when it happens after the long wait, it feels precious.
Absolutely✨

I agree, most people are so busy running that they forget to stop and look around. I am so glad that we do. How was your retreat?
It was gorgeous and exactly what I needed. 😊
