March was the first month of 2025 when I felt present. With everything. I experienced happiness, calm, anger, happy anticipation, balanced days, the fear of ageing, loss of loved ones, a chance to be hopeful again about the future. After months of living on autopilot, allowing myself to feel every emotion again felt overstimulating but a welcome change at the same time. We often forget that life is meant to be felt. Rustling of leaves of the trees surrounding us, the first sip of morning coffee, the exposure to the sun on a warm winter afternoon, finally laying in bed after a long and tiring day at work. I believe these tiny moments fulfil us more than a full-time job ever will. We may not necessarily spend every second experiencing this peace because let’s be honest, life is hard and we have to work to sustain ourselves, but a single moment of embracing life for what it is and the beauty it holds can help us get through some challenging times.
This week, I encourage you to look back at March with gratitude for everything it taught you. I am also here to ask you a small favour- moving forward, whenever you feel yourself slipping into autopilot mode, be quick to check yourself and try to loop back in with reality. Every moment that passes will never return so make sure to be as present as you can.

Lessons From March..
One thing I learned last month is to take a moment of pause before I react. We often do and say things we don’t mean when our emotions are heightened. When we feel that our point needs to be heard and our way needs to be followed. I learned to consciously pause, not immediately react, in conversations with strangers but especially with loved ones. A brief moment of pause makes me realise that I would often end up saying more than needed in some situations. It avoids conflict and protects your mental peace. Next time, try to remind yourself to pause before you react.
Calmness is not to be searched for in the next season of life. Calmness is not something to put off till you reach your goals. Calmness is found right here. Look around. It is found in the first sip of coffee in the morning. It is found when seeing a loved one smile makes you smile during a rough day. Calmness exists here, in the little things you ignore. You have to look for it.
You will never regret putting in the effort to know yourself better. Know what you like, what you don’t like, what triggers you, and what makes you happy. We blindly chase external goals without realising that unless we nurture ourselves, even reaching those goals will not hold any value. I am glad that life taught me this lesson when there is still time. I hope you know it too.
Calmness is found right here. Pause. Look around.

I really appreciated the calm honesty in your March reflections. The way you distill lessons from everyday moments feels both grounding and generous. Keep sharing—we’re listening.
