Seems like yesterday when I hit send on my 31st newsletter on January 3rd, 2023. Today, while you’re reading my 70th newsletter, I am sitting here feeling grateful for every single one of you who took out the time to engage with even a single piece of content I put out in the world.
This time last year, I set some intentions for the New Year, some of which I have acquired as habits since. This year though, I felt too caught up in my life to slow down and reflect on how 2023 was for me and what intentions I wish to set up this year. I feel like I am somewhere stuck in the middle as everybody else seems to have figured out how to proceed.
But it’s okay. If there’s anything I have learned in my insane journey of failures and successes last year, it’s that you will never find another journey exactly similar to yours in this world. So I don’t have to panic if we’re already 10 days into the New Year and I still haven’t figured out what intentions I wish to set for 2024. If you feel the same way, I can assure you that you are not alone.
So far, stepping into the New Year has felt like stepping into a new world, whose atmosphere I seem to enjoy. All I know is that alongside progressing in my career, I wish to set up the foundation for a healthier and a more intentional life for myself.
I am finally experiencing what guilt-free rest looks like. Perhaps it’s too soon to comment any further, but I know for sure that this is a feeling I would love to hold on to forever.
I started 2024, finally achieving something I had spent weeks working towards. It was perhaps a huge sigh of relief seeing your hard work finally pay off after weeks and weeks of constant hustle.
Since the last couple years, I’ve stepped into January with a new pile of books to read. So far this year, I am re-reading a book that unknowingly became my source of comfort during challenging times. I guess it is my way to normalise the idea that even in new beginnings, we are allowed to hold on to some parts of our lives that give us comfort. A quote from the book that really resonates with me,
“You are built not to shrink down to less but to blossom into more. To be more extraordinary. To use every moment to fill yourself up.”
- What I Know For Sure by Oprah Winfrey
This week, I am here to cheer you on if you've figured out a way for yourself in the future. If you didn’t feel the buzz of the New Year and are still figuring out the way forward, I am here to remind you that you are not alone. I am certain that this period of uncertainty is followed by immense clarity in your life. You just have to keep showing up, while making sure that you don’t forget to drink water and take a breather once in a while.
I hope 2024 is kind to all of us,
With growth, rest and achievement of our definition of success!
See you next week. :)
Beautiful flowers ❤️
