2024 taught me
Nobody will come to save you in difficult times. Yes, they can advise you, but you must act on it. They can share with you their life experience, but YOU have to create your own.
Go easy on yourself. Sometimes, things are not as complex as your mind makes them.
Silence is magical.
The people you love will not be there with you forever, so value the time you have to spend with them.
Living a balanced life will not make achieving your goals any easier. But it will leave you sane enough to find some value in the journey towards these goals. If you can do that, you are already ahead of others in living an intentional life.
Exercise (and movement) is underrated.
Don’t chase perfection in everything you do. Sometimes, you will fall short, and that’s okay. Try not to be harsh on yourself.
Life goes too fast. Hold on to the memories that are not just extraordinary but also to the simplicity of ordinary days. These are beautiful things to cherish down the line.
Slow mornings are truly a blessing.
Don’t ever give up on little things that make you happy, especially due to the “stress of work”. Remember, you can instantly be replaced at your job but you can never relive the same date, month and year again.
Learn to value yourself, because if you don’t, the rest of them won’t either.
The world may sometimes feel only as big as your surroundings. It can lead you to slip into your comfort zone and make you hesitant to take risks. This is where the feeling of stagnation arises in life.
We often step into the New Year with the previous year’s experience as an anchor. If last year was good, you expect the next one to be better. That will not hold true each year. Let each year come with its own set of challenges and good times.
i also learned to embrace slow mornings. I love taking my time waking up, meditating, having coffee and getting ready for the day slowly
Thank you for all your wonderful writing this year Mansi. Merry Christmas to you 🎄❤️
